You & No-One Else page 6

Here’s the latest page. On the negative side, Northern Ireland have just lost 2-1 to Iceland after a last minute own goal by Keith Gillespie. I don’t have Sky and it wasn’t on the radio, so I tried to follow it on Soccernet’s gamecast. Not exactly the most satisfying way to experience a game of football. But I still went “oh f*ck” loudly when I saw the score change. Looks like our chances of qualifying are now pretty slim. Cue a revival of the “next week we’re playing Tescos” jokes.

Edited to add: but Scotland are a goal up against France! My great grandfather William Brown was born in Glasgow, and I’ve traced his ancestors all the way back to the late 1600s in Glenbervie, between Aberdeen and Montrose on the east coast. I’m at least an eighth Scottish, so if Norn Iron don’t get through, maybe I’ll have a country to cheer for after all.

Yeah, that Rutger Hauer line is golden! Reminds me it’s been way too long since I saw Blade Runner.
