The Cattle Raid of Cooley page 6. 1. In an oak grove, Medb speaks with a druid, who bows, the sleeves of his white robes bloodstained. Medb: So an immediate departure is out of the question? Druid: The entrails are quite clear, my lady. Any expedition that starts today will end in disaster. 2. Medb turns away from the druid and walks to her chariot. Medb: Thank you, druid. That's all I needed to know. 3. Medb mounts the chariot behind her charioteer. Medb: Home, driver. Charioteer: Right you are, my lady. 4. As Medb and her charioteer start to drive off, another chariot, drawn by black horses, pulls up in front of them. It's driven by a woman, but we can't see her face. 5. Medb's charioteer calls out: You're blocking the queen's road! Identify yourself!
